Lifejacket General Service MkIV NSN 4220-99-051-7314 The requirement of the General Service Lifejacket is to provide a readily carried package, which when deployed with normal clothing or a once only abandonment suit will provide personnel of 57Kg to 140Kg with a lifejacket for general use and abandoning ship. The lifejacket will provide support in the sea for either conscious or unconscious personnel for a period of 24 hours after abandoning ship by jumping/falling from a height of 60 feet with the lifejacket fully inflated, and comes with its own pouch. |
Lifejacket Hazardous Duty MkIII NSN 4220-99-761-8312 This lifejacket is similar in design to the General Service MkIV. It is however a fully automatic/manually inflated lifejacket fitted with a 40gm CO² cylinder. This lifejacket is fitted into a Valise Cover ensuring that it is easily fitted with a very low profile. |
